The pre-monsoon heat waves are considered “silent and slow disasters,” which
adversely affect people’s lives, livelihoods and efficiency. Particularly in urban
spaces, people who work as informal labourers, such as street vendors and
construction labourers, face considerable difficulty during heatwaves and extreme
temperatures.

महात्मा गांधी विश्व में मुक्ति के महानतम और अलीक योद्धा रहे हैं। वह हर तरह के अभिशाप और विकार से मुक्ति के हिमायती थे। आज धरती प्रदूषण से मुक्ति की आकांक्षी है। गांधी का कहना था कि धरती सबकी जरूरतें पूरी कर सकती है, सबका लालच नहीं। उन्होंने कहा था- The earth, the land, the air and the water are not an inheritance from our forefathers but an loan from our children. So we have to handover to them at least as it was handed over to us.
